I heard it was dumping in in the San Gabriels today. Anybody going up this weekend? I'll be in Wrightwood with snowshoes and a noboard, hitting the top of the bowl in Heath Canyon (or Baden Powell).

the high ratio snow made it SUPER low tide after this last little storm...i was slashing sandstone and pine cones... still fun... Interesting at this moment the transverse ranges have better conditions than the Sierra's. Tough start. Big finish.
SDmtngoat- any mid week day and i'd be down for sure.

Hello everyone, my name is Nick and I am new around splitboard.com and to the touring scene. I am based out of Orange County, have tons of free time and would be super stoked to meet some new touring partners in the area. I have some experience touring from this year (Mammoth & Vegas) and just bought a new Burton split with Voile hardware & skins.
So, if anyone is itching to get out and has free time, I’m your man-hit me up.

Kratka is off to a nice start. Super nice areas blower pow 12 maybe 18" over some hardpack (you just to look for them). I can't wait till it fills in. One of the best days I had last year was April 1st, 2ft of un-tracked powder it was unreal !!!

I'm a split newbee located in Fresno, looking for other interested splitboarders in cent. California. A little bit about me... I did my first backcountry trip this last summer up Mt. Shasta (boot pack with crampons and a solid board). A friend of mine who is an experienced mountaineer and backcountry skier took me up. I recently invested in my first split. I am currently doing some self educated avalanche safety reading and will, hopefully, soon be heading out to get an "in the field" avalanche class. I am also currently a practicing EMT. I would like to try to get a group of local spliters together and form a list. Maybe sit down over a cup of coffee and get to know each other. Figure out each others intentions, skill level and avalanche safety level.
