Hey Wade, just out of curiosity when I called to book at the Glacier Lodge, they told me the fest was 6-7, not the 7-8? Should I call back and make sure it's booked for 7-8? Thanks! Can't wait!

Rooms are blocked for the nights of the 6th and 7th as the vast majority of people will arrive sometime Friday, spend the night, shred on the 7th, spend the night, shred on the 8th and leave.
There are people coming early and staying late - if you ask nice, the hotel should *hopefully* honour the discounted rates.
Double check your email confirmation - should be good to go - you had me worried a bit, so I double checked my email confirmation for the block of rooms

This letter is to confirm your reservation arriving on Friday, January 6, 2012 and checking out on Sunday, January 8, 2012 which is a total of 2 night(s).
We have you staying in 40 room(s) which is a Two Double Beds, Non-Smoking. The rate for 2 adults and 0 children will be $89.00 plus tax.

I believe they are planning on it - best to contact them to confirm.

Contemplating using this as a Friday night event - would you pay $5 to watch these movies - total run time is about 90 minutes. With a $250 exhibition fee, we'd need 50 people at $5 each to break even - profits after that would be donated to the CAF.

Super excited about this splitfest! Although I am a recent subscriber to this forum and long-time passive viewer, I am extremely stoked to meet all of you!
Will drive from Vancouver with a friend, and sleep in the best cheap way: in the Van.
