Go with the SPI or even a RX, which is basically the same as the SPI but a few bucks cheaper. I have been on Ride bindings for the last 8 years, and think they're the best bang for the buck considering price, comfort, stiffness, weight, and durability.

Those new v-straps on the Contrabands look like a joke. I turn way too hard for those flimsy looking things to hold my boot in place, and I doubt they would be much good when skinning on a split either. I think their intended use is for newbs and park junkies that are always getting in and out of their bindings.

mounted the bindings base with out the center disk - direktley on the slidertrack - it save wight and brings more stiffynes in the slider .4 bolts on each slider is enought -mounted the boulds in the bigest way .
sory the picture is my old spi he is cuted and smaler fixed for my hiking boots - my new LX is in Youse...the spi is not so god from the base to drill ( hols under the gaspedal....

I rode some Deltas for a while and loved them. Last season I bought a some Contrabands and think the are freaking awesome. When they are correctly set up they pull in pretty damn tight yet still feel comfortable. They dont cramp your toes.

Mine took me about 2 hours to adjust every screw, try a few flexes while mounted on the board, re-adjust and then fully tighten off. Although I have a worry that they could be a little weak, but Ill sort something out when I get to that. Yet... they didnt seem to break when I had a huge stack at full speed into a hidden chunk of ice and broke my collarbone.

Even though they are only one strap, they still take the same time to tighten as the front strap right in front of the toe needs to be held so as it doesnt slip around when tightening.

Well, just got my splitboard skins today, so dont have much split ride time on them. But I got some of last years Ride Alpha with the super thin (and light) main strap. I had them mounted to my pow board and seem to work pretty well. I got em on eBay for about $100 so not a bad deal either.

If you have the cash the CAD binding is the shit,hands down best freeride binding on offer from Ride

i use a pair of deltas on my split, saving for some sparks though!

As long as we're at it, my wife loves her LX bindings. Cheap on closeout from REI. She likes them even better than her Burton Lexas.

SPI's. Have a pair for resort and DIY splits (rughyts) Love em, and they can be turned into great pair of rughtys when youre done with em

I got the SPis last year after riding burtons for a few years. I like the weight and the fit is ok, nice toe ramp. Quick adjust straps are awesome too. I really like the metal baseplates as I have a tendency to break plastic ones.
