In the market for some new boots. I loved the old burton driver x, but haven't found a boot that compared since they softened them. I got frustrated with the malamute lacing system as it kept loosening on me last year. Now looking at Ride Insano focus and K2 T1 SPDL. How do they compare stiffness wise? To the old pre 2009 Driver X?

Thanks for any input. Should I be considering any other boots.

K2's look big to me. Vibram is a plus but at what cost..

I just purchased another pair of thritytwo's. They are liiight and so surprisingly durable. Put 100+ days hiking in a pair of Ultralights, still held up well, real well.

^ Put these on one foot and an Ultralight on the other. You can barely tell the difference. The heel pocket in those's Primes are CLUTCH!! 32's stiffest boot.

Has anybody tried the Nike Boots? I tried some on at the store and they were almost hilariously stiff. Way stiffer than the driver Xs. I could barely deform them pressing between the calf and toe.

Are they any good? Has anybody worn them? Do they wear alright?
