Anyone wearing NF Hyvent outerwear? I am considering trying it out but was hoping for some real world input on it's performance. I'll find out today if I can get a pro form for some new Ak gear, but if it falls through I may have to go the more affordable route.

I have hyvent pants that I've used for 4 years (counting this year, when I intend to use them again).
They're heavy...not to be confused with E-Vent material which for some reason is lighter (I'm sure it has to do with the thickness of the waterproof laminated barrier, which in the hyvent pants is pretty thick.
That said, for winter, I don't mind the thickness at all, and in snowy conditions, they've rarely, if ever "wetted out" or soaked through.
They don't hold a candle to my Gore-Tex Proshell OR jacket, but then again, that jacket is lighter weigth and isn't asked to take the abuse of my pants.
Feel free to PM me. I guess what I'm saying is...they work for me!
