I haven't bought anything yet. The high back question is critical before I lay down that kind of cash. I've got two pair of union low-downs I can canibalize. What brand of low-backs did you put on your sparks? Low-backs are hard to come buy these days. We must be in the extreme minority. I'd also be happy with a really soft high-back. But all my bindings are either drake or union. So the hole placement is the same on them both.

I'll do that. It may be a bit cause I'm a slow mover and a slow shaker, but I'll post back what I find out. Maybe I can send them the low-back and hardware... Or maybe if they see the demand they will make a softer set up.

Well the Split30SL (lightweight ones) will be very stiff as they are made out of carbon fiber. Maybe you can ask Tiltedworld, he is selling his Split 30s from last year. See his post in for sale, linked above, he seems to know a lot about the Karakoram stuff.

I swapped out the highbacks and straps from a pair of Union flites pretty easily last spring on the standard split30's. The only thing I had to do was a touch of grinding on the forward lean piece to get a good fit.
I have been running the Bent Metal lowbacks they fit in my Sparks Fuses & Ignitions. Rughty also made us a pair or custom bindings with lowbacks last season.
