Thanks for the kind words guys, and yea Brett, that was pretty much the tipping point for on deciding to cut this board (that and with funemployment, a Unicorn Chaser is out of the question). Can't wait to test her out, here's hoping for another year of La Nina!

^A little trick to align the touring brackets and heel risers plum dead center on each ski. Also, now is the time to ensure your split crampons have clearance on both sides of the board (mistake I made when building the Mullet).

^Drill presses are rad. Yes I was wearing safety glasses. No I wasn't wearing any other PPE... other than my work Sanuks...

^3/4" Forstner bit, perfect for M6x9 T-Nuts. I figure this will turn out better and be far less destructive than going with the Snoli inserts. The Snoli bit removes far more core material, and the inserts are a pain in the ass.

^All that's left is to sand and seal the inside edge and install the LT Touring Bracket (just waiting on screws to come in).

Nice pics, I may be joining you in the funemployment line to collect my EI Ski Team cheque here shortly....things are slow out here and its not looking too promising....oh well, another La Nina year will keep me smiling...at some point this season I have to try that deck out with the noboard pads....that thing will be so sick with the swallowtail!

Screws came in today, LT brackets are on! Living room skinning indicates an incredibly rigid pivot interface, no slop, sweet! I'm impressed at the precision that I mounted all the hardware at, compared to my Mullet and other DIYs seen at swaps. Drill presses make a huge difference. Also found 1st gen Mr. Chomps don't work with dual climbing wires though, who knew? Darn, guess I'll have to invest in a new pair. So stoked on getting this thing out in proper conditions later this winter!

Status update from the Canuck Splitfest: Who said you can't ride a Swallowtail switch through death crust in the trees? Good lord this thing is a success. 0-60 in no time at all, scary how fast this thing gets ripping over day old fresh in the trees. Really want to put in some fat alpine bowl carves now. Long boards truck, short boards suck!
