Cow town splitters

Don't feel like studying, looking to do some poking around beyond the ropes around Castle this weekend. Save the legs/hip and ride the lifts to gain some quick vert. Cold and clear, winds have been light.

I'm out till I heal (quite possibly for the rest of the season)... looks like I did some pretty good damage to myself

Didn't get out yesterday, so Waterton is looking likely next weekend. Gonna have to wait on the tax return before I consider any trips.

hey cowtown spltrs, i used to live at the KFS station and hit Fortress. if you can get a skidoo, park at the shell stn. and head up the road unless plowed, then drive. once up there, well, you'll just have to have alook. many many lines and chutes. also, try the back side - easier access to bowls and chutes. i moved to Kimb. Kootenays. great stuff here too but Fortress is unforgetable. happy trails.

Rented gear last spring, planning on splitting my old lib tech, if anyone is interested in helping and has bought some of the DIY tools/bit's needed, I'll buy the beer :guinness:

I go out normally once a week. Most of my tour buddies are skiers, so more splitters would be fun.

I am also kind of in the same boat. Just starting out on the backcountry stuff as I am tired of the lines tracked out snow and would like to find some people to ride with. I have a splitboard and bindings and plan on taking AST1 this December as well as acquiring the additional safety gear.

Let me know if you have room for another!
