Nice pics, Bucky! Thanks for doing the scouting to make the trip happen. Looking at TGR I think we just beat the flood of people out skiing in the Uintas.

Nice buckchow! I was in middle basin on june20-june22 as well, must have just missed you! Had a sweet trip, rode a fun line off Ostler peak, what a summer!

I took a waltz to Deseret Peak last Saturday. There is still a bunch of snow. The twin couloirs are still rideable. The west one at least.

I wish I had brought my board. Except I never thought we'd actually summit since the wifey is 6 months prego. She was feeling good so we made it.

Here's another view of the couloir and the summit.

I'm going backpacking in the Uintas northwest of Mirror lake this weekend. Cuberant Lake. Anyone know if it'd be worth bringing my board along?

Nice shots. It looks like the nasty cornice hanging over the West chute is no longer there. I was looking out of my office yesterday wondering if it was still rideable. I might venture up there since the loop is open now. A lot of melting has occurred since I was there a month ago.

This is kind of a long shot, but I’ve been searching blogs for recent hikes in Utah and hiking blogs etc; please read this and forward it on to any friends you have who may have seen my Uncle Eric, any snippet of information may be vital to the search.

We are still looking for our friend, Eric Robinson. New information is that Eric was last seen at Blue Bell Pass on August 2nd.If you have some time, take a hike with an eye out for Eric!
64 year old Eric Robinson, set off to hike the Highline Trail 7.28.11. He was scheduled to finish Sunday 8.7.11. Eric is now a week overdue. Please call Sheriff Mitchell at 435.738.2015 or Julia Geisler 415.695.4502 if available for the next few days to join the search or have any information.'

Please could you forward this message on to anyone you know who may be hiking this route over the next few days or who may have seen him recently. Feel free to email me or phone the numbers above if you have any information or want to volunteer to go out and help look for him.

Unlikely to be visible from the city... Try the various cameras at this link (ex: alta, sbird)
