Everything above there looking from east to west (Alexander/Gobblers shoulder through Gobblers and into West Porter) still has good coverage.
Although I have no idea on the snow quality, at least it wasn't as slushy as Brighton was yesterday. I'm guessing the rain that fell yesterday has percolated out. There were zero signs of new snow in the last 24 hours in Bowman. Where I had seen brutal releases in BCC yesterday, most of those in Gobblers and Porter appeared smooth and rounded, as if some snow fell above 8K. Lastly Bowman trail is a no go as an approach or exit to this area. But Yellow Jacket (at least as far as I could see) looked like it would be skin-able from the Porter cabin road.
With sun forecast for Wednesday I wouldn't count on riding this area.

At any rate, it was an okay trail run. The up was a bit of a challenge. but the downhill in the slush and seasonal creek was rad!

She skied good.

Wouldn't try and go up Yellow Jacket from Porter.

Hey Bob just saw your report, turns look WAY better than what I experienced at Brighton. Impressive slide pics in Mineral and Broads too.
I may have to give it one more go before hanging up the stick for the season, but I'm having a lot of fun chasing the snow line in shorts and sneakers.

box elder today. no refreeze up to 10400ft, thats as high as we went. snow was marginal but still rideable. the hike out sucked my ass.
after 9 months of splitboarding a couple times a week, my feet hurt.

ps-besides the wear and tear i don't know why my feet look so compact and demented in this pic. weird angle i guess.

Gary fun video, Wasatch you go to the beautiful mtns and all you have to post up is a pic of some of the ugliest ass feet I've ever seen, they look like their posessed by the devil or something.

Had a fun day with hopes of hitting a big line or corn or something. Didn't really accomplish either but still a fun day to be out. 6/10/11

This is a line my buddy hit last year. Looking at it up close and all I can say is GNAR! So Sick! Only for goofy footers.

Had some delicious sweet corn yesterday in the Brighton area. We had a decent refreeze on Thursday night above about 9000 ft. Amazing that's mid June.

Bike and hike from lower gate Cold Fusion on Timp. Friday. Nice shape, hard pack could have waited a little longer for more heating. Fun session!

I went on a recon mission up Xmas Meadows to Middle Basin in the Uintas yesterday, just to scout lines. Had to boothike in a few miles, able to skin at about 9200' on 3 feet of solid supportable snowpack. Middle Basin is socked in with snowpack, no lakes anywhere close to showing through, the tree wells suggest a 5+ foot snowpack. Saw moose, pelicans (down low), and marmots. Great day, but damn it's a long way in.

I am sure most people have hung it up for the year, but if you haven't anyone want to hit the North facing chutes off Deseret Peak Sunday? I can get someone from work to tow us in most of the way until the snow starts.
