Congratualtions dude! An abosolutley epic journey. Unbelievable. I can only imagine how good you feel. Solo at 5,000 + meters, holy shit. I cant beleive that you wanted me to go with you! You already know that sometimes I wonder where your head is. I wont lie and tell you that you have never scared the shit out of me! I knew I would probably not be able to hang in the Cordillera on your program and that is why I declined. You were better off without me this time. But guees what? I moved south back to the mountains and am truly getting my shit together now, so anytime you get something epic like this going I will be ready and I am down. Well Done Kid! Hope you have a solid winter. Let me know your plans; I am interested in coming down again.

I was researching for my trip and came across this one again. It made me very happy to take the time to re-read everything and even pick up some details I no doubt missed the 1st time around. Actually you helped me to realize I am not ready for anything big like this, I want to go there and play around but that is all. There is such little available beta for this area, and especially when it comes to boarding. Thanks for taking your time to post this up!

I dont want to drift from the thread too much...but while researching I also came across an article of a fatality up there and I remember reading something about this when it happened but it never stuck in my memory.

Well it has left a lasting imprint now. I see another name in the same article, and that person also perished in the mtns - RIP compadres. It makes me really think about how fortunate we are to be coming out alive at the end of the day, or trip. We take measures to make sure we we are safe, we take calculated risks, some more than others, but I think a lot of it truly is luck.

As the 2012 winter season starts in the north hemi...wishing everyone the best luck possible, take care and be safe. Matt very glad you made it back from this one, and hopefully you will have many more exciting TR's for us to enjoy in the future.
