How much is the conversion process? I know my brother has a metal set of binders in his gear pile, so I was thinking I'd have his converted over sometime over the summer.
No they arent the team bindings, I think they are just called the pro series. Anyways, I dont want them modded for myself, was just going to give them away if Rughty needed a binding to experiment on.
I reckon I can give away the board and binders to somebody in town, even though it seems not many snowboard here, especially the young ones.
I'd be happy to take them off your hands if you can't find a closer home for them.

Mail box is getting full with everyone asking the same thing so I thought I would save myself the trouble. I have been offering the service for $150. Basically, you would send me a pair of bindings with your slider tracks mounted to your bases (keep your highbacks and straps) where you want them welded. I take care of the rest. Another thing I have been doing is I have traded a spare set of bindings and slider tracks in payment for doing the service (that is with prior approval of the bindings that are being traded of course. I've taken some in trade before and those binders turned out to be pretty crappy). I also offer a $25 discount for each set of slider tracks sent in, but they would have to be in pretty new shape. I will be offering toe ramps and am currently experimenting with anodizing and plasma etching for future bases and heel cups. I am pretty stoked to see how much interest this little project has generated. Thanks!

Hey rughty, spotted a pair of aluminum bindings at Value Village today. Old school Bent Metals would be my guess, lobacks, no discs just quarter circle cut outs for stance adjustment, super dated straps. 6 bucks. Can pick them up and ship them out to you if you need another pair to work on.
Thanks for lookin out, but I would hate to snatch those up before Pedro had a chance at them.
I actually have taken a short vacation from bindings now that I am able to get out and ride. Going to start up again soon though. Got some new ideas to test out first!

These bindings are gonna be sick. Everything metal is machined from scratch right here in Reno (including slider plates) Cheaper than Sparks/Voile with better riding performance and strength. The new graphics are gonna get rid of the holes and the heelcups will be rounded/concave for strength. Plus they will be anodized! The highback is perfect. Lightweight and stiff but with good lateral flex. Straps are better than what all other splitboard bindings have come with in the past too.
I am shooting for somewhere around $275. The production binding will be quite a bit nicer than the one pictured above. Hopefully I will have pics of those soon.
So it was suggested that some people would like to incorporate their own straps and/or highbacks as is with this business. The cost savings to the buyer won't be much as the majority of my expense is incorporated in the metal work. I don't have prices yet, but expect to see somewhere around a $20 discount for strapless and $10 for no highbacks.
