Not bad for $55 either. The only problem is it doesn't have a frame carry, only the diagonal. The fabric is bombproof, probably the most durable feeling backpack I've held.
I know your type. Soon you'll be starting threads about Ti inserts, bevel degrees on mellow mag edges and the most proficient lacing system on your hybrid mountaineering boot.

Hey Wild Side, there are threads on basically every question you've asked so far. Folks here are typically happy to restate things but id also reccommend the search function which very quickly leads to this: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10182&p=73813&hilit=backpack+daypack#p73813

Eh, I'm more of a carebear man myself. Note the separate avy tool and goggle compartments. Also has a handy external water bottle holder and nice beefy pulls. Seriously legit gear here.

I recently shopped daypacks with a friend who was gearing up for splitting. We checked out the usual suspects from: Osprey, Deuter, Black Diamond, and Arcteryx. The Arcteryx Silo 30 won hands down. Best board carry, very stable on the back, big enough to handle a full day load, including mountaineering gear-but compresses well for half day pow slashing. Simple bombproof design, without too many features. Lightweight. I have been using my Silo 30 for three seasons, but went ahead and shopped around with her to see if there was anything better out there. We both came to the conclusion that the Silo 30 is the best splittin' day pack available.
