hmmm.. I wonder why every body is going shorter. 162 is the largest? Kinda taking a big section out of their market. Oh well... another reason why Venture and Prior will always have my business.

162-164 is at the larger side of the spectrum for most snowboard companies, especially for all-mountain boards.

i don't think these boards are marketed to hardcore big-mountain riders that are used and demand longer boards. instead i think they are aiming for the regular resort rider that have maybe done some snowshoeing and want to see what all this BC talk is all about, and those people are used to ride >160 boards because thats what they have been told they need.

the market for splitboards is getting younger. with that, more all-mountain/freestyle designs are going to enter the market, which you can bet will be rockered, and it seems counterproductive to make any of those boards much longer than 162-165. it's just a matter of riding style, imo.

although i guess it does suck for the bigger guys who do genuinely need a bigger board.

Just looking at all the new gear and thinking about how far our sport has come in the last 5 years blows my mind. Wonder where we'll be in another 5? Can't wait to see what's in store.

Does anyone know when the new Jones boards will be available?
Specifically the Mountain Twin?
