^ I hear ya. Memorable board design addresses performance and graphics. The whole package. The buyer is happier to spend the coin and the seller might just sell more of them. Which, when it comes to a niche board like a split swallowtail, should be appealing to the manufacturer. They are offering the thing in four sizes. A pretty big move. More people will get on them if they get rid of the rental fleet vibe they are giving off at the moment.

I guess I'm a geek but I like the graphics
Nobody is a geek for liking the graphics. They are an improvement over previous efforts. It's pretty sweet that they are bringing it back in the first place. My point is with some strong graphic design this board could really make a splash!(jazz hands). How many splits on the market next year? 8-12 manufacturers, dozens? of models in lots of sizes. Just sayin it doesn't seem like enough to say "hey look guys we brought back the swallowtail!" and rely on the funny looking tail to make it stand out. Take it from, "thats a neat board" to " I WANT that board". Marketing seems evil sometimes but everybody is doing it.
Stoked on the wider stance options. That was much needed.
