Homemade Climbing Heel?

Just curious if anyone has tried making there own climbing heels? I'm working on a complete DIY split, mostly for cost savings, partially because it's entertaining. I'm not too concerned with weight. I'm just trying to find something that will work and I though I'd see if anyone had tackled it yet.

Side note - If you were going to make your own, would you go with one of the voile heights or maybe somewhere in between?

Tap Plastics. Go there get the plastic you need, cut it out, drill it, laminate if necessary. I would try using the Voile wire first with that, and then try something new. Good Lux!! :bananas:

Years ago i made DIY 2 dubbel climbing bars, made as POM very simpel and fast to switch.
This board wos made only for one day for the race: climb the mountain - :mrgreen:

Nearest Tap's is a couple hours south so I might try to find a local equivalent and compare prices.

Markus, how did you secure your "wire" in the upright position?

Very slick. So is there a loose pin going through the pivot and then the whole assembling is held together by the edge blocks?

you could just bring an orange and when you wanna elevate smash it up under your heel.

hahaha, a potato would be better. I think a rivit would hold it together rigid, and allow it to spin up and down. :twocents:
