Supposedly theres one floating around in the mail and I have yet to see what it looks like. I'm excited to try this thing out. I hope it's as tough as they say.

Thank you. I'm definitely glad I went the Venture way. I gotta say that beyond their board capabilities the customer service was ten times better than the first company I checked out. They turned a lame experience into a really good one. When I went looking for a split the first place basically said they were too busy with the trade shows. It was an interesting response to my order inquiry to say the least. Moving on from that, the quality on Venture is ridiculous and it is the best I have seen so far. And yes I have seen the other manufacturers. I'll be testing it in Silverton very soon so more to come.

I just noticed Venture went from 10mm to 5.8mm taper on their boards (maybe that was just the storm). Smart. 10mm is just too much for edge hold on steeps. Seems like a good compromise. And they seem to have longer sidecuts too! I'd love to try a 159 or 163 @25mm waist. I like the flat camber/rocker combo too. I got to ride a Sentury with that combo and it was super fun in pow. Just wished it was a bit stiffer...like the Zephyr probably.

BG: Have you seen the specs on the '11-'12 Ventures somewhere? Please let me know as I would be very interested in seeing these.
I am loving my Storm R 166/26 split so far, but I would probably love it even more with a longer sidecut radius and a little less taper (to increase stability and tail hold as noted).
