with all of the voile dual height drama going down, I'm curious if there's a recommendation on which climbing heels to use with sparks? I have a pair of fuses and I'm a little concerned about the wear of a tube-less climbing bar on the base. is this an issue?

so, my voile single wire bent completely backwards and cheesed the mount yesterday under my sparks (climbing wire mount). I need to order something this week. Any suggestions? Dual height would be good, attaching without any mods would be better and bombproof under my 260 pounds is mandatory. thanks

thanks for the heads up. Do the g3's fit right up, or do I have to dick around with them? Might have to hit gear x while in town Thursday and grab these so I can kill it again this weekend.
edit.. CRAP, called 6 shops in my area, no one has this in stock
guess I'm gonna have to tough it out with no climbing wires this weekend

Backcountry.com is the ticket for the G3 8mm dual height. They are actually on sale right now, so go get them. Rep from G3 confirmed that the spacing is the same as the Voile risers.

thanks for the info... ended up grabbing the last 8mm from Onion River and someone harvested the wires from the package so the guys found some in the parts bin

I have put probably around 50+ miles on my G3's this season with zero issues. I do have the Voile (Light Rail style) shims under them. My next board will definitely get G3's too.
Sorry to hear they failed for you.

I've been rocking the Voile Dual Height... WITH the grey tube since the day they released them back in December and now have 40+ days on them with no issues at all... I do only weigh 155lbs though... Probably jinxed myself and they are gonna break today...

I've been using the dual height bars without tubing from Voile since January and have had 0 problems. A little wear on the base plates of the Sparks but not really a big deal. I'm 6'2" 180 and am pretty hard on stuff but haven't really had any problems so far, having used them on about 8 tours. I use the tall ones a lot because I tend to skin up steeper stuff.

I was just about to post about the issue of wear on my bindings!! Just installed the dual w/o the wires. Has anyone wrapped them at all in tubing etc to reduce wear? Or is it just minimal wear.
