designed for Twin tip skis but maybe ideal for a split without cutting the board. e.g. the metal wing clip things turn to fit the curved and the straight edge.

i used the standard G3 alpinist tail clips skins, works great just need to tie a small loop to the clip that slips over the tail clip and bolt of your splitboard. But the tail clips look even better!

Backcountry Magazine actually mentioned them in this year's gear guide as a good option for tail clips on splits; apparently their testers had good luck with them.

your tail clips are not the same as those I have seen... basically its a copy of your front clips, this is mounted on a buckle that would attach to the rubber strap on hte back of the skin.

can someone explain how you offset these clips so they do not pull the skins at an angle? I have the BD STS skins, they are already cut but still have the strap attached for the tail clip...

First, take the G3 clip and put over your splitboard tail. Aligned the G3 clip straight with the board. Note or mark the center of the G3 clip, Next cut the notch for the tail off-center,about 1/3 off-center from the inside "straight" edge of the splitboard, which should align with the mark you made in the previous step.
Assemble the tail for the skin as normal and attach the G3 clip as per instructions.
Also, try facing the rivets away from the base for a cleaner skin contact with with the board. The rivet-dimples pull the skin away from base a little. but it is only a minor issue.

FYI My skins are the Voile, I am not sure if you need to angle the tip clip for your BD STS skins. But the G3 twin tip connectors mod works great for the tail clip for my skins.

Have you tried your skins as is with the G3 Twin Tip Tail Clip? Try it at your local hill / Ski area. My guess is that you could all remount the tail kit, as I mention how to in previous post to offset before. Note: I am not sure what to do, if your have the BD STS Split skin (featured article in the Backcountry Magazine, Gear issue).
