This is awesome news!! Congrats Pete on getting Verts back into production. Verts have been my secret bc weapon ever since I got them back in, oh, 1998?? That's right, I've been rocking the same pair for 13 years. Talk about solid performance.
I have several friends who have been looking to buy these forever, and will point them your way.

Wow, I'm really starting to like these things. Many of my local lines don't require me to lug my heavy ass (yeah, sparks and split w/ skins is still heavier than verts and a solid) splitboard up. The verts fit in my pack and weight next to nothing. Forget switchbacking up on crusty spring snow, just blaze straight up on the verts.
Just another tool to use depending on conditions. They are absolutely killing it on spring, steep hiking conditions. Still love the split for long flat approaches and exits, and it definitely isn't gathering dust but the verts definitely are nice for certain situations. Don't know if I will ever use or want to carry both, even if I can mount sparks on my verts.

if you check out the pictures of gear on the main forum page here, you can find pictures of modified Verts to accommodate various bindings. Some people have even mounted metal claws on them from traditional snowshoes.
