Still thinking about where to go. I was talking to a buddy and he said the rockies snowpack is faceted badly right now, so we might need to head further west.
Super pumped for split fest on the 22nd, probably going to banff for friday then on to rogers. Should be pretty sweet! Who else is heading out to the pass?

I'll be heading up Friday night to catch the presentations. I maybe picking one splitter up from the airport but he hasn't confirm yet.
Who's heading out the weekend of the 5th? I'd like to get some touring in... I'm still slow on the up... it sucks to get old. I wish I'd started 10 years ago lol

scottnfld and I are planning to head this weekend, not sure where yet. So far we have thrown out a few places. Banff area, Bow Summit or Chester lake at Peter Lougheed Provincial park.
Unfortunately for me I'm still splitless so I will be boot packin' it.
This is probably a little late to enquire, posted particulars previously. But anyone up for the classic wapta traverse next week? We are hittin peyto on Wed Feb 9th and hitting the highway Sun Feb 13th.
Just me splittin and a 2 planker. We are both versed in Avy and Crevase techniques, both moderate paced for endurance, we are planning on summiting Rhonda north and olive if time and energy permits. we have a rope and all hardware, you would need harness, avy gear and 5 days of BC stuff. We have phenominal dehydrated home cooking goods for the trip to divy up.
AS WELL, ANYONE INTERESTED IN BOW TO YOHO TRAVERSE LATE MARCH/EARLY APRIL, WED - SUN
FYI I boarded down Rhonda south in December, first track, and holy shit was it ever awesome. floated down with perfect powder depth and great slope angle. Massive long floating turns back to the glacier, probably my favorite run of all time, Looking forward to the ride down Rhonda north.
Let me know, thanks, Marc

Anyone up for something on Saturday or Sunday? Possibly from the summits and icefields book? I am all about the summits and a long ride down, but am open to other suggestions.
