I've heard that they are refining the prototypes. Last time I saw some of these they were pretty darn cool.

At this time, my guess is not until after SIA and OR, if the twins go to that one as well. So, February at the earliest?

wow February, thats a lots a lot of days out without crampons when you need them.

whilst the set up is good, I prefer to have the crampons in the bag rather than an improved performance. I will go back to my sparks for now. a real shame.

has anyone had any breakage issues with the toe straps (the side that holds the caps strap to the base looks frail) maybe stronger than it looks

Well, better late and perfect than not at all I guess. It is their first year after all. I'm sure Will didn't dump all the Spark goods the intitial release season either. (Maybe he did, I dunno...) Realistically, January is nuts for product suppliers getting ready for the shows which likely define the coming season and supporting product in the field. Many folks in "the industry" don't get out to slide at all then... Too busy.

sorry disagree

its not like its a surprise that crampons are needed by the folks they have sold the bindings too in the last 5 months.

they have for sure had a good idea (and time circa 1+years) to think how they would manufacture them. they after all have made a top class product and surely this is low tech in compared to the binder & interface. these guys know what they are doing....

At the end of the day going out in the backcountry without crampons is not a good idea.
therefore please can I have my crampons and soon.

Mid-season product release, good luck. If they are going to make a crampon, i think they are looking to a next season release. Snowboard manufacturing is a cyclical business, not a build-to-order business.
