Yo splitters.

Just wondering if anyone has ever ripped out their toe piece/climbing bracket? (Voile and/or Burton)

Not yet. On my homemade split I used wood screws and epoxy instead of the t-bolts because I didn't want the huge holes in the base, and I didn't have the tools to fill it in. I talked with someone at Voile before doing this who thought it should be fine in my case. It would probably depend on the weight of the board and rider. I've only used this board once on a BC trip so the jury is still out. No probs with the Burton other than having to remember to check every screw before a trip...

Yup, coupla times with the homemades. Remedied with t-bolts.
None since the inserts, but the bracket is usually mangled
from a tendency to ski the split from time to time as a novelty
in the powdah snow.

i rippe dout my climbing bar on my first ascent w/ my split fish, up st hellly. DAMN! I had duct tape opn my water bottle and taped the shit out of that f-er and made it up no worries. then got home and T-Bolted the climbers

skinning down hill on an exit in an area that was too choked w/ trees to board (for me). conditions were a layer of surface pow with a persistent hard rain crust just below. overextended trying to avoid some treehugging and ended up torquing the toe bracket along the cotter pin.
