That's a great point, Kyle. Lighter AND more surface-area. Grr, why is my b.c. partner out of town this weekend?!? This is making b.c. gear testing impossible!

......Just got mine!! They look great. I won't be able to try them out until after Christmas. Unless I get really motivated in the morning before my flight.
They are a huge improvement in tourin mode. No more side to side slop. Mine are for the fuse binding. I've been riding the Karakoram Split 30 Binding for the last 4 days. Very nice, as soon as I get some time I'll give full review of both touring brackets.
Comparing the two side by side, both clean up all the slop with the old touring brackets(voile).
The LT-Pin Bracket move up & down very smooth with no tension/friction. Split-30 brackets feel the same except there seem to be a little tension in the up/down motion.
That's all I got for you now without riding the LT's.
I will say I like the little bit of friction with the split30. I was able to pull skins & ski skate with the added friction. We shall see if this loosens up or stays tight.
