 Post subject: Qualities that make ski's better than boards and vice versa?

Just curious if there are certain splitboards that are abit better at skiing downhill and what compromises would that have for it as a board?

It could be me, my skins, karakoram bindings or it could be the board shape. This is just a basic observation. Not like I go try to ski. It just happens sometimes while touring. I could be totally up in the night with this one, I swear my rockered Venture storm skis better than my old cambered Voile freeride. I think the rocker lets you snowplow turn easier? Where the camber sort of grabbed and 1 leg would go in the wrong direction?
