New thread for a new year. Ok so the last few days have basically confirmed that the good times have arrived.
Just got my 1st split and am ready to ditch the snowshoes. I'm based in Seattle but will be looking to find ppl interested in weekend trips (and the occasional "sick" day) anywhere from Baker to Hood. I have avi gear but would like to learn from more experienced types should anyone choose to tolerate my n00biness. Probably will start out w/ simple, well-known routes to get comfy.

Glad to see this thread has started back up for the 2010-11 season! It's always great to hook up w/ new riders, learn about new terrain, talk shop, etc.
Kewl, I'm in Seattle, too, and get out primarily on the weekends (and for the occassional "sick" day, too). This is my third year splitting, so I know some stuff but still have lots to learn. Let's try to hook up for a tour sometime soon.
Any other Washingtonians out there that want to meet up w/ other local splitters?

Hey guys I live in Bellingham and have been splitting for 4 years. Got my gear and some experience. I moved here from Leadville, Co and moved there from Jackson Hole, before that it was 5 years around Portland and Mt. Hood. I get out as much as possible, Sunday was out in the Baker slack/back and it was real nice!!!

I'm based on Whidbey island and spend most of my time at Baker. First year splitting after a taste of splitting last year. I'll be up at baker this weekend if any one wants to hookup.
Although I'm not a WA State"er", I'm definitely interested in getting out with anybody looking for touring partners for the Baker area. Please send me a PM

I'm in Seattle and am definitely up for getting together for some splitting. I can get out just about any day that they snow's good (I try to keep my work week flexible in the winter so I can rearrange my schedule around the snowpack).
In fact, I was thinking about heading to Hyak on Wednesday 12/1 for a quick "get the legs moving" trip if the freezing level doesn't get too high. Anyone interested in coming along?
I also live on whidbey island and new to splitboarding. I'm hoping I can get into some action this season. I'm in the process of finishing the DIY kit on my Jones mountain twin. Hopefully can hook with some fellow splitboard some time soon...

Another Seattle splitboarder checking in here. I just moved here from AK this summer, so I haven't figured out yet where any of the good places are, but I'm definitely up for some trips.

Hello Washingtonians,
Anyone interested in making some turns this weekend? I don't have a set plan in mind yet; just thought I'd throw out the idea and see who's interested. With the new snow on the way the avy danger might increase, in which case the backcountry might not be the place to be. But if it doesn't get too crazy, I'd like to get out there. I'm pretty flexible on days.
