i'm thinking about picking up one of these for a DIY split. anyone ridden a nitro slash before?

The Slash kills. Do it. Soft flex up front, slightly stiffer tail. I would cut it if I had two of them.

How stiff is slash 166? I'm 173cm and 73kg but I like stiff boards because they can hold speed. I have Pantera lx166 which would be nice splitboard, but it's new one so I don't want to cut it. And I found slash 09/10 very reasonable price.

The Slash is a noodle. A pow destroying noodle. Not stiff.

i saw those really cheap on another site one day and almost jumped on it, looked like it would make a sick split.

I own the 166 and rode it every pow day I could last season...a sweet pow surfer, but super soft up in the nose and I'm not sure I would even call the tail stiff, I think its just the taper giving some more stability. Love the giant nose up here in the Pac NW to stay out of the muck. That said, I'm new to splitting and looking to get into this season....thinking this board would be too soft for any hard charging....but like I said WTF do I know...if anyone splits this would love some feedback....oh yeah and I didnt do the conversions but Im 5'10" 155 lbs
