Looks pretty burly and not too terrible a price. I'm tired of having gloves/mitts that fall apart after a few seasons.
Specifically, I'm looking for mitts that are actually mitts and not gloves within mitts and I can tell from the site if these fit the bill. Seems like most manufacturers have a glove within a mitt, which to me defeats the purpose of mitts in the first place.
1) A removeable liner mitt. So that you can wear the shell alone, or with the liner mitt, liner glove ect. For example you wear the shell alone in spring skiing to protect your hands should take an icy fall. Also easier to dry out the glove liner 2) Leather Palm for grip 3) and most important aside from the warm and versatility of a mitt, is the leash w/toggle. which attaches to your forearm. The reason this is simple you never want to lose your mitten or glove in the backcountry. The old mountaineering saying is you can freeze your feet and survive but freeze your hands your..... dead!
4) The shell of the mitt comes over the sleeve toward one's elbow.
I seen where someone would leave mitt on the snow for just a moment to fix something and the gust a wind blew the mitt down slope.
Really invest in a good pair a mittens for the backcountry. Aside for a hat, it is one of the most over looked pieces of gear , but one most essential pieces of gear.
I wear the expedition mitt for Black Diamond.

Is the inner mitt a mitt? Or a glove? That's been my beef, most have a glove inner liner. Most of the time I ride without the liners, but if I need the liner, I much prefer my fingers together.
