Hi folks- so after a few years of head scratching I'm finally drinking the kool-aid and splurging on a splitboard rig. REI has a board called the Prior AMF which seems to suit my preferences for switch riding/landing. The listing says the board comes with a Voile slip-disc multiple adjustment binding system (09/10 version)- I've googled it and looked on Voile's site for a reference on it but I've come up short. Does anyone have any idea what this binding system is? Is it like Voile's regular interface kit? Is it compatible with Spark bindings?

one more question: has anyone heard when Burton is releasing the Freebird or when Jones Solution is available. I liked the reviews you guys have here on these boards. Thanks

I just had REI try and special order me a Freebird. The Burton rep said they were totally cleaned out of both sizes and they weren't producing any more this year. Not sure how close or far from the truth that is but that's what I got.

Pretty sure that's just fancy Canadian slang for the Voile Universal Split Kit.

I pulled the trigger on a 61 Jones Solution last night from REI- it was a toss up between that and the Prior AMF. They seem to be similar boards with the exception of magnatraction and 2mm of taper (which i don't understand why they just didn't go fully twin tip). I also dig the blunt tips. Beech Poplar v. Aspen Maple core is another- I've ridden a lot of the former like the Capita Black Death and love the flex so that was a big plus. I'm not too keen on magna traction but i haven't ridden the mellower version so I'm hoping I'll get used to it. I probably should have ordered both, checked them out and returned one but I guess can still do that. Either way this is huge- totally amped for this.
