I'll be in bc near Fernie jan-mar '06. Wish to find a partner for the backcountry there. Have a season pass for there but out of bounds becons. Have some equipment and have been to an avi-aware class. I don't wish to purchase the splitboard yet ( I have everything else already) because I'll be tempted to use it partner or not. Was in NZ in July; it was a non-season, had waves tho. After last non-season in the Pacific NW, it's time to consider the backcountry, otherwise we all might go wanting now that we realize this global warming shit is for REAL!! Jim
