Has anybody tried both? On a "Normal" board I break three or four pair of bindings a year. Right now I"m on Bent Metal Plates, Burton straps, and Nidecker highbacks... (The parts that still worked from my old bindings)
My point, I want the strongest, stiffest binding I can buy, and I don't want to have to buy 3 pair.

Haven't tried the Lightrails, and no interest in trying them, but the Blazes are sick and I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

Seriously, what are you doing to them? I'm not that hard on bindings, but maybe you should lay off the 120 footers eh? That being said, you may want to swap the highback on the Blaze for something with more beef if your that gnar crazy. I'm 150 and not super hard on bindings, only bases, so hard for me to relate, but I really believe that a welded together binding will be more sturdy then a bolted together one, Blazes all the way.

Here's some welded bindings (DIY thread: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9627&start=0) Can't say yet how durable they are yet, but by far more supportive than Sparks or Voiles The Voile's visually do not inspire confidence for being durable. I've only carpet jibbed in my Blazes and the support of the straps/heelcup sucks balls, but they're light, simple and probably durable.

Next year I want to get some machined rails from Ken(rughty) and make another pair w/ the same bindings so they have even less material and sit Sparks heights off the board. rughty is proving that it's possible to DIY bindings better than Sparks in the future at half the cost.
