You don't visit the site for a few months and BAM!!! something like this crops up.
Kudos to you Treepilot for getting this going.
I live in Cranbrook, East Kootenays.......and would definitely be up for this.....just met a couple who have splitboards too.....so will run it by them.
With La Nina, and now this......could be epic!!
Will head over to the website for a look-see
Have a great one and all being well, see you in January

Going to clear the schedual for that weekend and make the trip. I hope to be in better physical condition by then but I am still a little worried I might be biting more off than I can chew as far as terrain goes. I think my biggest day is still under 5k so i am worried that once i make the drive out there I am gonna get my ass handed to me. I have some goals this season to hammer out more days and bigger ones, just dont want to hold anyone up. Is there any terrain out there that caters to the slower, less fit type?

Wow! This looks fantastic Wade! You're getting me stoked to get off my ass and get some work done on the Mt Baker Splitfest. I'm really going to try and make it to your fest. I've always wanted to go to Roger's Pas and this seems like the perfect opportunity

Thank you Terry for the contacts for sponsorship. It's made my life easier and has resulted in some results all ready, with hopefully a few more exciting sponsor announcements coming soon!
Loopy: other than scurrying with your sphincter in your throat past the bottoms of massive slide paths, everything else is pretty conducive to going at your own pace. There's lots of terrain and will hopefully be lots of participants to pick people with similar fitness and risk tolerance profiles.
Does anyone else need to be back Saturday night? I'll do the drive alone if I have to, but was thinking of doing Friday/Saturday, at least get to meet everyone on Saturday. There is a chance I could bring along a skier or two if no one else can come out Friday.

I've updated the first post on page one to reflect information about the event for people reading through the first time. Let me know if I've missed anything!
