I build every Year a new splitboard for me ( some times more 2 ,3 ,4 ) .
this year i build a 2 pice board .....
This Board has the Voile holes and a kind of the first burton hooks .

wood sidewalls, inside out side . closed with WAX. No inside edges

the core is a mix version as pappel, eschen wood , the board is ok for +85 kg rider wight.
upper and lower belts are special , mix as 0° and 35 ° glas +carbon + (arramid only in the upper 0°) - the top layer carbon 2/2 köper binding is a funktional layer - not as topsheat, but a funktional topsheat. back to the simpel thing s - not more than you need.
The board has a rocker nose shape ..The wight is complett: 3900 g
Fakt: running 168cm radius 8,5m nose wide 31 waist 26,5 tail 30 camber under feet 5mm

Beautiful work there burton. I would like to see some of the equipment used to build it such as the press. Also what did you use to seal the carbon topsheet.

Burton,

You build some great looking boards
That's definitely NOT wurstsalat!

What material are your air bladders constructed of? A coworker and I are sourcing materials to build a press and
have planned on using lengths of fire hose? Any thoughts on this?

Thats awesome. I'm about to start work on my own board too. I'm probably going to go with a vacuum press though.

Cool burton. I got something cooking too. But its still in the design phase. I still haven't totally committed to building a press. I may start with a vacuum bag if I can find a cheap enough vacuum pump. Otherwise I might be better off building this.

I have built a few vacuum systems now and to be honest...
The press is by far a better way to go. Fire hose lengths seem to hold up the best.
Nice board Burton!!!
