Upper LCC is the place to be... Hiked for a few hundred vertical today, and there was actually enough snow in isolated locations along a service road to make some turns. I've got pictures, but I can't figure out how to attach them. Something with this Img button above? If someone reads this and knows how, please let me know... and I'll put some pics up to share the stoke!
thanks!!!

Hey Kelly you need to have your pics hosted somewhere online (picasa, flickr, photobucket, etc..) Right click your photo[s] and select "Copy link location", then click the img button and paste the link you copied in between the img tags... It should look something like this + the outer brackets... img]http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4144/5052779237_90b21b84b7_z.jpg[/img
Click preview before posting to ensure it worked. Cheers!
they got hammered last night, a bit of rain mid night so might have a wicked crust already. But looks like another 12-18 inches by tomorrow morning! Hoping to get out tomorrow morning myself.

Going in the morning, not sure where. Since the approaches may be lean, I'll probably just hike up with this instead of dragging my split gear around... Then again maybe I'll take both...

woody I like to hike with my old performer (ultralight) but I'm leery of rocks in low snowpack, It's NOT my rock board. Hardboots on everything N. Idaho got 16" up high so I better get cutting on my diy.
It was 18 degrees F and 18 inches deep up at Alta this AM. Pretty good coverage on the groomers, didn't hit any rocks. Observations on the Karakorum setup to come shortly....
wondering the same thing myself, want to get out tomorrow. Sounds like a decent amount should fall tonight with lake effect. NWS is calling for up to 12. Not a bad amount if there is a ridable base!
