Beautiful work there burton. I would like to see some of the equipment used to build it such as the press. Also what did you use to seal the carbon topsheet.

i build my first press years ago - it works with air. every year the evolution goes a step forward ...in this year i can press dirfrent X contor shapes convex concarve... for the topsheat finish i youse geelcoat at the top layer , in one step , no clear colur as topshaet
You build some great looking boards That's definitely NOT wurstsalat!
What material are your air bladders constructed of? A coworker and I are sourcing materials to build a press and have planned on using lengths of fire hose? Any thoughts on this?

Thx boarding peopel for the + feedback. the board in front of the press is a mix board - pintail and longboard - this thing had a flow like a feather. build in the winter 2006
Cool burton. I got something cooking too. But its still in the design phase. I still haven't totally committed to building a press. I may start with a vacuum bag if I can find a cheap enough vacuum pump. Otherwise I might be better off building this.
I have built a few vacuum systems now and to be honest... The press is by far a better way to go. Fire hose lengths seem to hold up the best. Nice board Burton!!!
