I need a measurement, from what Ive learned, almost all factory splits, the specification from one binding hole to the other side is 3 3/8". On my summit split the measurement is 4". Could anyone with a NS factory split measure theres so I can confirm if this is how its drilled from the factory.

I seriously doubt Neversummer screwed up the interface pattern for the inserts. Have tried mounting your interface yet?
If they did mess it up, I'm sure they'd fix it. With their quality control, I just don't see it as being wrong.
Yeah, heres some pics
Zaks Prior Split
Never Summer
From what Ive learned, almost all the other manufactured splits, the inserts are spaced out 3 3/8" from middle of the inserts, my NS is 4" wide apart.
Im not sure if theres a specification or template manufacturers use when drilling holes for their splits, maybe someone can chime in?
I spoke with Vman and he said he would be happy to replace the board and ahve a new one remade and drilled, spoke with Karakoram too and they were willing to make new baseplates for me to accommodate the variance in inserts. Don't think anyone is at fault here, hopefully we some more people can shed some light on what the specification is with drilling the voile inserts.

I'll measure when i get home, but thats obviously no good (my karakoram base plates fit on my NS just like on the prior). Get another board, as you may want the standard spacing later on when the board outlasts the bindings and you get something else.
Wait, didnt you just get a Venture Storm R with uneven tips?

Yeah, returned that. Going to get another one, Ive found having the Karakoram board clips will alleviate that issue
Really strange. I'll measure my Summit tonight if I remember to do it. It is the first one they made, and it's a camber model, but maybe it'll shed some light.
I take it the binders won't lock down on the interface plates with the spacing this way?
I'm sure Vince will take care of you. Interesting thing. Probably not an issue at all with the Voile set up but with Karakorum you've got a new dynamic. Something to watch out for regardless of what board you buy. The Summit is a board that is very much worth having. It's a slayer. I'm also sure Neversummer will take note and this probably won't be a problem again. Sucks you had to be the guinea pig on this.
Could some one measure their factory split and let me know what the bolt pattern is? I'd bet it's metric too. I'm trying to get this nailed down. I've got the Karakorum setup and the spacing is critical as you all know. I'd like to know the distance across, number of threaded inserts, and distance between inserts. Thanks.
Maybe one of the guys at Karakorum could chime in?

just measured my ns titan factory split...the inserts are 85mm apart, measured from and to the center of the insert hole...and the holes are spaced 25mm apart...
there are 7 threaded inserts on each side of the board for each binding..i have a voile mtn gun and the inserts have the same measurements and same number of inserts

John- the insert spacing we've measured on all the boards we test fit to are as follows:
Burton, Voile, Venture, Prior: 3.375" across the seam x 1" spaced Jones: 3.25ish" across the seam x 1" spaced
The nominal spacing for the Karakoram system is 3.375" x 2". I say nominal because there is adjustment in the binding so it can be fit to inserts that are slightly wider and narrower.
