Here's a sneak preview of the new Prior 05/06 catalog. The website should be updated in a week or so with the new models. There are new topsheet designs as well as some new lengths. I suspect the new Kyber 170 might do well. Also, all splitboards come standard with the quad glass upgrade.

At the demo day during splitfest, Dean from Prior had an early proto of the solid ATV 167. The first question asked was "will there be a split version". Dean said probably not. Apparently they did a run of split 4wd 174s for Fin over at Bomberonline, and they felt like they lost money on the limited production. It seems that they have to put together a new template for insert packs for the ~45*+ angles that hardbooters like to run.
Dean did say that they could do just about anything on a custom/one-off basis... for a price.

Nice pickup there Ripz... Glad to see you finally pulled the trigger. I expect to see some good photos and more helmet-cam action from the Alps this winter...
I'm trying to find the right board now to split for my wife so I can drag her out with me. The budget doesn't quite allow to buy a complete new split for her just yet... Maybe I'll split something for myself and let her ride my 172St split.. who knows..
Anyway, glad to see the quad-glass is stabdard for all the splits now. I think it's a must. I can only imagine how much better my 172st would have been in quad... Alas, I'll just have to budget for a new board next season to find out..

yeah, i'm pretty stoked! when i saw the new boards i had to jump on it. i had been balking largely on the fact that i don't like any of their topsheet designs. i had a hard time justifying that price for a board i don't even like to look at. but then i saw the new "topo" design. pefect.

I know of at least one person who has ordered one as a split... though he had the waist widened just a hair... i believe to 24cm.
