I met a guy the other day at a ski shop in wanaka... we got to talking splitboards and he said he'd done some touring with kyle miller a few years back. small world!
Did you happen to get his name? Have a great time in NZ the club fields are where it's at.

i believe his name was aaron... he was working at outside edge sports in wanaka.
it seems that one could meet and tour with most all the splitters in NZ in one season!
the club fields are indeed quite amusing. it would be nice to have a pass but all the good snow is outside the boundaries anyway, so what's one more skin up the rope tow line!

Hey Ale, I still think your solo venture on the North Face of Mt Maude is f****** BAD ASS!
Also, I was up on Baker yesterday and had a solid chance to stare at Coleman Headwall for about an hour. It is absolutely unbelievable that its even ski/ridable! At this point all it is is knar and more knar!

Hell yeah, I just re-looked through the photos. Lots of epics in there. You're obviously part of a solid crew.
So next's years TR will have green dots on the up and blue for the down? I wonder if you can set a GPS to mark safety meetings and then plot it for you. Not that you'd really want to know.

Thanks again guys..
Yes Eco, I am very fortunate to have a lot of solid, experianced partners. I can't seem to mention them without wanting to write a book. I may write a chapter or two this summer.
Blue was the theme for last year.. blueberry mostly. chutes, fruits, and xwhitewidow. high pressure blue skies, blue tarn skimming, xnorthernlights...
this years theme is going to be...... citrus! JAH!!!!
pink dots on the up.
I think you could map your safety stops with a SPOT...
