So I'm headed back to the homeland for the weekend. Does anybody know how the conditions are in the vail/summit county area? Could I get some suggestions from you guys where I should go? Is there still snow for sliding? Gracias in advance.

Not much left at Vail Pass. It looks pretty muddy and the slednecks have cut brown tracks all over the place.
The ski runs in upper portion of Vail Mountain (Chair 4) still look really white. I'm not sure if they're turning the Gondola for summer yet, but you could ride (or hike) up from the Village and then hike and eventually skin your way to the upper mountain.
And then there is always Mt. of the Holy Cross...
Summit County has better snow. 'ehcarly' and I may go for Buffalo Mountain or Shit for Brains on Saturday if you are interested.

Is there anything accesible off shrine road? How is the Loveland pass area looking?
I would love to go with you guys. I'm not sure if I'll be able to though. My wife will probably be with me so we'll need to hit something a little more mellow (if that still exists this time of year).

If that's the case, just figure out a way to get to upper Vail mountain and ride the ski runs. You can't get a vehicle up shrine road right now (unless its a sled)
