Any sled splitters interested in checking out Ebbetts on Sat? Hollar.

wish I could. We rode up as far as the reservoir earlier this season and saw a ton of awesome chutes all over the place. The road was closed at wolf creek, but fortunately for us, there was snow all the way down to the gate. Hopefully you'll be able to find a way up there. It's a fun ride...

I wish I could rally....but its my sons birthday..and the wife is already letting me go the cali splitparty..and Iam sure I would need a sled anyway..unless I rode on the back..

Are you saying that you could not continue on sled past the locked gate due to not being able to get around it?

Please clarify.

Doubling on a road isnt too bad but it sounds like you are busy. No worries and happy bday to your son!

You can definitely ride around the gate if there is snow. Just don't know, with how warm it has been, if there is any snow down that low now. It was mid Feb when we went and there were a couple of dry patches on the road down low. Once you get in the trees on the north slope you shouldn't have any problems. It is a burly little road and we had to do some side hilling over some pretty exposed terrain. Since the road is pretty exposed, full of twisties and has some of the best views in the Sierras, hwy 4 is of my favorite motorcycle rides.
