Natural crown, near top of Talking from 4/2. Strong winds were beating the snow in slabs on multiple aspects. But great powder was had in the trees.

Hit up the eastside with Towelie and Rod on Tues/Wed. Thought it was gonna be epic pow, but it was more epic trailbreaking (for Towelie anyway, who we let break trail most of the time since he's training for heading to Chamonix) and riding epic heavy snow. With about 10-15 turns of epic pow salvaged each day though.

It was seriously hot on Wed, so it's probably mostly cooked by now. Here are a few pics, I'll try to post some more in a bonafide TR later.

man conditions on the eastside are really good right now. Great coverage - Obsidian Dome is completely covered and Convict Lake was rideable down to the car over the weekend.

Great seeing all those who I saw this weekend!

Roundtop was surprisingly good today. Full report here. And yeah, I'm posting this from the Mo-Mart parking lot!

Oh yeah, interesting side note. Back at the car I ran into another splitter in the parking lot. He needed a ride back to his car a little ways down the road. We got to talking, and it turns out it was bcd's friend Kevin Smith! You know, the guy who is in all the rad pictures in Dan's book.

It was his first time out to Roundtop riding Crescent. Small world.
