I'm taking the course with the Foothills Mountaineers. Not sure if I'm getting much out of it because it's been mostly indoor lectures. But we have a day trip this Saturday and a overnight next month.

Right on. Thanks for the tip... The mounties will be invading Yodelin this weekend!!! It seems like they like to roll in packs of at least 50..You guys are going to have a rope streched from top to bottum!
I am sure you will take something away form the course with you. I finally got to go inside of the mountaineers lodge at stevens. Pretty sweet set up.

Yeah, I'm with Sketchy; I just need to get out somewhere. The weather blows lately, but there's not much that can be done about it. It looks like Sunday will be the better of the two days this weekend, so I'm hoping to do something then. If not on the splitboard, then at one of the ski areas (Baker or Crystal), although I'm not too excited about the thought of shelling out money for a lift ticket with these crumby conditions. I may just end up doing a short climb somewhere, too. We'll see...
If anyone wants to try and get out on Sunday, let me know. I'm sure the snow will be less than ideal, but I'll be happy as long as it's not raining.

I did a new to me little tour to an unnamed peak on nason ridge today. Nothing too gnarly, but well worth the effort. I'll do up a little report after dinner.

Ok...how about this weekend?
Anyone have any plans for Saturday or Sunday? I'll be at the Baker ski area tomorrow (just in-bounds stuff), so a tour on Sunday would be good (day off in-between). But I could probably make either day work. Let me know.

Got out Sunday for a little walkabout at Yodelin. Pow up top for the first 300 feet feet...breakable crust below for the rest. First time in that zone. Lots of fun little features. 2nd time out on the DIY Lib (Thanks SketchyT for the parts and skins). Was really happy with the performance in the less than ideal conditions. Thought it might disintegrate when the going got tough, but it plowed right through. Won't be out this weekend, though.

Hey Sketchy (and anyone else that's interested),
I'm going to head up to Yodelin tomorrow, so hopefully I'll catch up with you. I'm aiming to leave Seattle around 6:30 tomorrow morning. That should put me up there between 8:30 and 9. If anyone else is interested, post a reply or send me a PM. I'll be gone for the rest of the night, but I'll check this website again in the morning. Have a great Sunday!
