Highwood , or Smith Dorion Saturday 14th?

Didn't see this post until now. I rode Highwood today, conditions are still pretty decent.

There is a pretty big group of splitters that I head out with from Lethbridge and CGY, let me know if your ever looking for people to ride with.

Ha I was there as well. Parked in the highwood lot at the top of the pass (big white chevy) . I hooked up with some people on skiis. We went east of the highway up to ptarmagin cirque I think its called. Any way snow was great. 90-100cm in places. No rocks to hit. Had a few awsome laps.

Im in red deer, id love to get out with some splitters. Got all my gear, but im a newbie.

Anyone going out this weekend? I might go check out Black Prince area off the S-D.

There are almost 10 of us in Lethbridge as mrash referenced. I'm always looking for partners with flexible schedules.... drop me a line.

Looking for people to split with, calgary area, on weekends and possibly weekdays here and there.

Just started splittin this year after resort ridin for 15 years.

For splittin, so far I have went up healy pass and 5 days on the wapta glacier. Headin back out on the Wapta at the end of March for another 5 days.

Mountain ability, pretty good, scrambled 20 peaks in 2009, Mt. Smuts was the highlight. Summited Mt. Gordon on the split.

Got all my avi gear and AST-1.

Endurance wise I am doin good wont have any problems keepin up with most people, also got my downhill and touring transitions down to a few mins.

I am in the NW, just off northmount and 14th St.

Howdy! My wife and I are finally taking the plunge this season after procrastinating for the last 8 seasons. We are noobs to splitting but have been riding pow since the 90's. Looking forward to earning our turns!

It's supposed to snow on Thursday, so maybe the season will be starting early...

Anyone interested in Wapta Glacier touring, summiting and bombing this season?

Just me, splitin, and one or two skiers from Calgary have some hut trips planned this season

First one is December 15th to 20th
Day 1 - Heading up to Bow Hut, stoking the fire and drinkin
Day 2 - Heading up to the glacier and summiting Saint Nicholas, then yo-yo's in the area, then drinkin
Day 3 - Heading over to the Peyto Hut, summiting Rhonda South, then drinkin
Day 4 - Head over to Balfour Hut, summit Olive if time permits which I am sure it will, and some more drinkin
Day 5 - Head back out and down to Bow lake and drive to the nearest pub for a big cold beer

Next Round is the Classic Wapta Traverse. So far Feb 9th to 13th is the plan

After this, the Bow Hut to Stanley Mitchell Traverse. So far Mar 23rd to 27th is the plan.

If you are interested, have your AST1 and decent mountain experience let me know, I have the auto reply checked on this topic.

I am going to be in the Cow town area around Christmas time, and I will be needing a break from the family.

Going to be looking for someone to do a day trip or two with.

I haven't split out in the AB area, normally split on the Coquihalla or the Pass

Who's up for the 7th, 8th or 9th?

I need to go somewhere relatively easy on the up, this will be my first time out on the split.
