Can anyone offer some opinions on the Burton S series splitboard? I am interested in trying a more exotic shape like the prior swallow tail or something with reverse camber, but is the price justified? I have a surfing background and love the idea of riding a board that can behave more like a surfboard in deep pow. ive already booked my ticket to Gulmarg, and cannot wait to shred some major gnar.

does boot size really matter with a split? even with sparks, you are so much higher off the board than a resort board. i don't have big enough feet for it to be a problem, but splitboard set up seems similar to a lift kit for people with large feet.
i'm 165 sz 10 boots and i ride the 162. my resort board is a 155 and my non split pow board is a 154 w/ lots of taper. the 162 feels HUGE to me. I would never ride anything larger.

I wear 12's and just recently picked up a 168 s-series. No problems with hang, but the board seems pretty soft for my liking. We'll see how it goes this season, but I definitely plan on getting something longer and stiffer to add to the quiver.
