My son Sky and I got a couple sets of the snowsurf kits for this coming season. I've been a little reluctant to jump on the noboard bandwagon but I think I'll be eating my words soon. Seems like it could be a fun time in certain conditions and the snowsurf kit works with splitboards which is...... :headbang:

Some pics.

The evolution continues, that surf style looks way fun in the perfect conditions, (I cant believe Im saying this but your gonna need a leash) The noboarding makes perfect sense in a splitnoboard. Thats rad you guys tried it out on the trampoline, now tell me did you tape the board edges or did you just barge it on the tramp?

I just don't get it. Are noboarders the same people who ride single speed bikes? Do y'all still listen to 8-tracks and use rotary phones, too? Do you ride a noboard in worn out Sorels with Scotch-guarded jeans and flannel? I'm not knocking it, but I really don't get it. I kinda like technology (most of the time).

Just remember riding a snowboard has no reason. It is just suppose to be fun (fun for you may not be fun for someone else). It is fun to ride a board with no bindings in perfect pow (that is how I learned and still ride sometimes), just like it is fun to ride pipe, the steeps, the groomed, crud, in fact any snow. Maybe you should try it.

On another note, the thing I do not like of the current no-board set up is the hold strap to the board. It puts the rider in a non-natural position while riding. I would modify mine to have my front hand position where I always ride or just mount a bungee on the board to not let the board fall off during airs.

i like the idea of less being more.........has anyone tried velcro? ..how does it work if you wipe out , does the board have brakes or could you expect it to keep sliding down the slope...not a good look if it slides out of sight and you lose your board under the snow...

order them direct from nikolai at http://www.snowsurf.ca, he's a good dude and would be stoked to sort you out. Check his video, too (edited for lack of video embed skills, its here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6rO_ClP ... r_embedded

and you can see a sick video from the original noboard crew and rocky mountain sherpas at http://rockymountainsherpas.com/theatre ... r-shackles

@bcrider, Cool to see you've got one Chris, I'm gonna be running that same setup with the venture deck this year. Can't wait to give it a go! The thing i like about the snowsurf setup for the splitty is where the rope is positioned--on the outside of the inserts, as opposed to right in the middle. Get some!
