Anyone here from Vancouver Island? I'm from central island, nanaimo-ish area!

Im not living on the island anymore. But there is a chance I may be moving back in a few weeks. Are you new to the island? I lived in duncan for 23 years then in victoria for 3.5 befor movign out here.\

I worked in forestry for a few years and have spotted a few nice lines around nanaimo lakes and above lake cowichan.

I have ridden a couple lines around lake cow, and some stuff around cumberland. interesting terrain. prop up some pics if you score some lines. I'd love to see some island stoke.

I'll be home for a cuple weeks over the winter.. Home is duncan.

I want to hit up mount cain again, also check out green mountain (above 4th lake in the nanaimo lakes) and a few others.

pick up the book Island turns and tours.

I'm from vic, up at cain as much as i can. seriously, the best riding on the island. i don't split yet, just hike for now, but man, there's some serious lines on the island if you know the right people.
fyi, there's almost 10feet up there and counting! road isn't open though, they open december 5th.

I'll be back on the Island over xmas and will be scratching at the doors trying to get away. Anyone going touring who doesn't mind showing me the terrain? I've been splitting for years and I shouldn't be a burden.

In return I'll be happy to show you around the wasatch if you ever come down.

There is a VERRY small chance i'm comign home on Tuesday Dec 22. If any of you Island guy would be up for doing a trip to arrosmith on the 25th, let me know. I wanna check it out!

Taft - Added! I actually did an avy course through island alpine, good guys.. plan to do a lot more with resources on the site in the time to come.never heard of island mountain rides, looks cool though, i'll add that too!

I'll throw some of that up there for now on the resources page though, and organize better later! I added a thread on the forum there too, for people to post any resources that are missing.

Wish i could get free on the 25th to hit up arrow smith, butI have family for the weekend... might be able to escape sometime earlier that week though...
