My borther and I headed up to Montezuma Basin Friday night in order to reap some goods out of the latest storms. The forecast was for pretty crappy weather (winds to 35mph and a 40% chance of snow). The forecast, however, was ~12hours off because during the night the storm blew in which made for a cruddy night's sleep as we were camped near the bench at the entrance of the basin proper. This turned out to be a blessing though because we woke up to calm winds and a few inches of fresh, cold, winterlike snow. In all, we made three awesome laps with the third lap comming down a chute from the ridge that connects Castle and Conundrum. A great day with great snow conditions. You can't ask for much more this early in the year. Enough blabbing, on with the stoke.......
Stoked. (our third run was down the chute lookers right in this shot)
This is one of two guys we met up there. His name is Watson, If any of you Roaring Fork folks know this guy tell him to give me a call.
Stoked for lap 2 with good vis. (Watson and Dave are the two guys we met)
