Good question[s].....
The "baddest"? Hmmmm this is extremely subjective.... But production wise I'd love to give the NS Summit, Venture Storm and Prior Swallowtail a try.
As for weight? The Voile 166, and Prior 165 boards weigh in at 8.5 lbs for the boards and the hardware (minus binders). Not sure where Atomic, Burton, NS, and Venture tip the scales....

i have a last year's Venture Divide and that board is bomber. it's a 180 so it's not the lightest but you get used to that with any big board. i can only imagine that their new boards rock the house! i want to get a 182 storm R for heli days.

The Atomic is probably the lightest, by a very small margin. See here for the weight of the different components: http://www.erstespur.de/viewtopic.php?t=3987. The 164 cm Poacher is 3.6 kg (naked). Prior lists their 165 cm splits at 3.85 kg, but include hooks, clips, climbing aid. Venture splits might be heavier.

Of course this is not very relevant, unless you add the weight of the bindings (and binding plates if necessary) and the boots (skins are probably the same weight per surface). The Atomic bindings are ~1 kg per piece, comparable to the R&D Fuse I guess, and lighter than other binding + plate combos.

The Atomic also looks a bit thin and fragile, though it could be just the appearance. It definitely doesn't look "badass".

a couple of the lightest splitboards (DIY) I've seen have been arbors. The 166 element tips the scales at 7lbs. 14 oz w/complete voile kit (not slider plates... who uses slider plates  ). also includes the weight of the insides edges.

although, I'd say the baddest have got to be among the goods coming out of the blaho factory - prim and proper. :thatrocks:

....just curious, prior's website says the weight of their splitboards include 'mounting brackets' - meaning touring brackets & universal pucks - right?
