someone had some laying around at work so i helped myself. i believe they got it from a hobby supply place. you can also get it through these guys.

http://www.mcmaster.com/

beware. the stuff is spendy. the cheapest mcmaster has it listed for is $82 for a 12 x 12. maybe a hobby shop would have some smaller chunks. it's nice stuff to work w/ though. very strong, very light, and snow doesn't stick to it!

oh........., one more thing if anyone tries this. mount the adapter plates to the board first, then use the voile template to transfer the hole location to the plates for the voile hardware. doing things in this order helps insure a better alignment.

Delrin would work fine as well from the same source and cheaper. Sometimes you can get "sample sheets" real cheap too.

You can get sheets of delrin from mcmaster-carr that thickness for much cheaper. It's super light, excellent machining, won't crack of break. For as little as you need I think you can get a sample sheet for less than $10.

Polycarb or nylon would also work just as well.

The carbon looks trick but I wouldn't shell out the $$$for it.

wow, old thread, didn't notice i already replied. 8)
