I weighed my entire set up using Mtn Plates and Scarpa Denali AT boots, and found the weight to come at exactly 21 pounds (that's board, skins, poles and boots) which is comparable to a guy I met on the Mtn. who's Dynafitted AT set up weighed arond the same as mine.
Losing the snowboard bindings shaves huge amounts of weight off the setups. Plus with AT boots, you have step in crampon compatibility, and kicking steps is sooooo much easier. This all depends on what you use your splitty for; for me it's a part of my mountaineering kit, so I don't have to walk down!
